Medicamentos

Costa Rica is one of the safest destinations in the developed world, from the standpoint of overall health.

It requires no vaccine to enter Costa Rica.

However, it is always safe to keep pace with basic vaccines against tetanus and diphtheria. The risks of malaria are minimal, but for itineraries that include visits to the warm lands of the Caribbean, tourists could take an additional precaution and use a prophylactic medicine such as Chloroquine.

Decisions on immunization and anti-drugs, must be taken on a personal basis, after consultation with his doctor.

While the best prevention is a anti-mosquitos or repellent, we recommend the brand OFF, which can be found in any supermarket or shop in the country.

So advise on wetlands, in areas near mangroves and beaches at sunrise and sunset, bringing light clothes: long sleeves, long pants and shoes that cover the foot, as prevencion to mosquitoes.
